It’s hard to believe anyone could weave together a history of all the scientific fields – cosmology, astronomy, paleontology, geology, chemistry, physics and more! – into a compelling narrative. Somehow, Bill Bryson manages this incredible feat! I truly loved the way he ties together the history of science with the stories of the men and women behind the science.

Read the book, you won’t be disappointed!

  • One notable anecdote I enjoyed in reading the book is Einstein’s (ultimately mistaken) endorsement of Hapgood’s book and theories.

  • Fabrice found your site from Tim Ferris. Book sounds great. I’m always wanting a better understanding of the big picture. Sounds like this will do the trick. Have you read “The Age of Heretics”? It’s a great look into the history and trajectory of the “corporation”.
